Horse Racing Tips & Previews – Saturday 5th June

Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews Saturday’s Rosehill meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 9 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Soft 5

Rail Position: Out 6m from 1350m to w/p, out 4m rest

This is not the strongest 2YO ever seen, but there is some depth. CAPE BRETON won gamely on debut in a good midweek juvenile. He was entered for Black Type race at Eagle Farm this weekend but connections chose here instead. That suggests he has come on and looks the testing material. Strong claims.

SINBA won on debut then got too far back last start over a mile. Did rattle home to grab 3rd. Better suited here and is very fit. Knows how to hit the line and is drawn to receive a glorious run just behind the speed. Big show.

ROYALZEL might be pretty handy. Not sighted on debut then up in trip and down in class at Kembla did the trick as he stormed home and looked good winning. Should be up to this.

Tip: CAPE BRETON

Tough draw for PATINO RUBY but she might be pretty smart. Led when resuming in town at Cl 3 Highway level, like this is, last start and was caught near the line. Will have to go hard early but she would have anyway and is fitter. Shorter race in her favour too. Big show.

TULLA PARK won at Goulburn last start in a good Bm 58 and did it in superb style 2nd up from a spell. Runner-up has subsequently won well. Watch the market.

The 3kg weight pull for MOETTA is going to make her very competitive. She is dynamite fresh and resumes here. Perfectly drawn too. Her presence will make it interesting.

Tip: TULLA PARK

This is a good rise in grade for CAESAR’S PALACE but the way he has won his maiden and then a Cl 1 last start suggests he is a young stayer on the way up. Is extremely fit, added bonus is that he loves it wet also. Respect him.

TOO MUCH CAVIAR has only won the one race but is fast and is showing talent. Looks certain to take up the running and his confidence is sky high.

WICKLOW is lightly raced but is showing tremendous talent. Won like a smart horse in the making when resuming last start. Harder here but looks classy.  Big show.

Tip: CAESAR’S PALACE

OSCAR ZULU is 2nd up here and may be ready to run a blinder. Was strong when 5th in a similar race when resuming and needed the run. Has strong claims in this.

ADELAIDE’S LIGHT is pretty smart at this level. Has won 2 of past 3 starts and was placed this grade in the other. Should get a great run and looms large. Have in your numbers.

ASTERO has won 3 of past 4 including past 2 on the bounce. They were in easier races but he is honest and talented enough.  Loves racing fresh and looms large.

Tip: 1. ADELAIDE’S LIGHT

Tough race. The class horse is SNOWZONE who looked strong late when 4th first up in a similar race. was backed that day. Watch betting moves as they may well come for him now that he is fitter.

JAILBREAK is just a model of consistency and fights to the wire every start. Is well up to this grade and off the inside draw may well be in the first two all the way.

SRAMSTEIN gets in this really well at the weights. Is 4th up here, has placed twice in slightly weaker grade but is ready to show up. Ideally drawn too. Respect.

Tip: 1. SNOWZONE

This looks a nice race for SNOWFIRE who should be on speed all the way. Resumed from a spell in this grade last start and ran a terrific 4th. Is fitter now. Longer trip here but he looks tough.

STEELY won two on the bounce before a luckless 5th last start over 1800m where he seemed to have trouble with the trip.  If he runs up to his best he is in this finish.

AIR TO AIR is a luckless mare. Has stakes grade talent on her day and may just get clear air down the running today. Should be flying home here.

Tip: 1. SNOWFIRE

I suspect if the real WU GOK turns up he can win this. Trouble is his form is inconsistent these days. Does like this track, and this trip and the fact the ground is damp. Is also very fit. Should lead and if left alone, he looms large

PARRY SOUND is tough, honest and just too consistent not to have in your numbers. Will be dashing hard late.  Watch the betting.

The Kiwi visitor THE GOOD FIGHT has the good draw so probably lobs in about 6th spot on the fence. He can stay too and is 3rd up after two cracking runs in NZ so expect him to be thereabouts.

Tip:  1. WU GOK

What a deep contest. This English import FLAMBEUR comes here with good credentials but he is first up in a solid field. Watch betting.

Have to think that MUBARIZ, whose two starts this time in have been extremely impressive, looks hard to beat. Can come home hard and is now very fit and light weight is a big help.

As it is for MONSIEUR SISU. He may be able to lead these and control the tempo, which, being 3rd up and in form is a great advantage because he has no weight on his back.

Tip: 1. MUBARIZ

This Chris Waller mare STARLA has finishing power and when she resumed from a spell last start in this very grade with this same weight over this same trip, she was climbing all over their backs looking for run in the straight. It came late but she flew to grab 3rd. Is fitter now. Big show.

MAJESTIC SHOT is a mare heading places. She showed in stakes grade last start that she can sit off the speed and still come home hard when 2nd. Looks the testing material in this. Big player today.

The inside draw is a help for EXOTIC RUBY who has her foot on the till. Is on home track and is 3rd up. That adds up to a major threat.

Tip: MAJESTIC SHOT
