Wednesday Horse Racing tips – Kensington 20th October

Form analyst, Ric Chapman, previews Wednesdays Kensington at Randwick meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 7 races. Good luck, punters!

Rail: out 4 metres

Track: Good 3

Kensington R1 – Mdn Plate 1400m

13:25 (Local time)

AL SAHARA has a bit of dash about him and looks nicely placed here especially considering he has solid first-up stats and goes well this grade. Resumes here and is on home track.  Plus, he has been heavily backed overnight.

CABOCHE seems to have wheels. Has gone out with the leaders at both starts to date and finished around the money. Super fit now. Big show.

VERBEK must be making connections pull their hair out. Five times from past six starts he’s run into 2nd spot on the line. Always coming from well back. Deserves a break through. Experience and renewed fitness are on his side. Big show.

Tip: VERBEK @ $3.40

Kensington R2 – BM68 Hcp 1400m

14:35 (Local time)

Hard to truly evaluate this one because form is from everywhere. CONRAD looked like developing into a smart horse when last in work where he won first-up. Resumes here too. Respect.

SNITZONFIRE is unbeaten in two starts in weaker grade but likes to lead and is on the improve every run. Is trained here and that win should iron out a fair few kinks. Big show.

In form apprentice Jenny Duggan rides AKHTAR here and now that he’s 4th up he looms very large. Gets back and runs on hard. Drawn to get a great run.

 Tip: AKHTAR @ $7.00

Kensington R3 – BM72 Hcp (3YO+) 1800m

15:10 (Local time)

If he runs up to his big last start win, then MIGHTYBEEL looks a good thing. Is fitter now and should improve on the way he just joined in and smashed them last start. Get on.

Lots to like about the way this Canberra stayer DREAM RUNNER performs here. He has been pretty honest of late. Worth following and has past two starts in particular have been full of merit in stronger races.

Similar story for the extremely honest JOJO WAS A MAN. This is a more than handy horse on the improve every start.

Tip: MIGHTYBEEL @ $2.20

Kensington R4 – BM72 Hcp (3YO+) 1000m

15:50 (Local time)

Off the inside draw this DELEXO may be a good thing. He is capable of running sub 57kg with this weight and that would win this race. He is 4th up, is in form and and will cause damage.

OH PLEASE DIANNA is very consistent and did win a slightly easier race two starts back. Super fit now, is in a strong stable too. Respect all that.

AKASAKI is a tough old buzzard and is 2nd up here after a gritty placing when resuming. Can place again.

Tip: DELEXO @ $2.30

Kensington R5 – BM72 Hcp (3YO+ Males) 1550m

16:30 (Local time)

Back in April, while carrying the same weight ANOTHER ONE and Art Cadeau went to the line together, the latter getting the decision. Roll forward a few months and Art Cadeau wins the Kosciuszko last Sat and this bloke is in this race. If he runs up to his best he wins. Is capable.

There was a lot to like about the way DOM TYCOON beat a weaker field last start and is going for three on the bounce here. Should be fitter now.

THE DENZEL is more than handy and shows up all the time. Is very honest and has drawn the fence. Won much easier race impressively last start.

Tip: ANOTHER ONE @ $6.80

Kensington R6 – BM72 Hcp (3YO+Females) 1550m

17:10 (Local time)

The pace will be set by VITTORIOSA who is in fine form. And being 4th up and on home track means she will take a heap of catching.

MY DELIGHT is 2nd up, is racing well and will appreciate the state of the track. Just needs a fair trip from this bad draw to be in the finish as she likes this trip.

ETHERIDGE resumes here. Hasn’t won for a long time, but two years back looked to have a bright future. Might bob up here unexpectedly today. Has had two nice trials.

Tip: MY DELIGHT @ $7.00

Kensington R7 – BM72 Hcp (3YO+) 1300m

17:50 (Local time)

I think it’s a bit of a gamble to back PRINCE AURELIUS here considering he looked distressed last start before spell when beaten 20 lengths. BUT, on his day, he is better than these and did win a recent trial. Watch betting.

LE VIZIR is talented and probably sits just behind Calgary Queen who will fly across from the outside gate. Did win well last start. Is ready.

This is a tough ask from this gate for BLESK but he may have to drop back to find cover. Is 2nd up now after a great 2nd this grade when resuming. Will have a lot of support.

Tip: BLESK @ $4.00
