Perth Glory are 10th on the ladder with six wins and four draws from their 19 games. But they snapped an agonising six-match winless streak with a 2-1 defeat of Melbourne Victory on Sunday.
Prolific duo Bruno Fornaroli and Chris Ikonomidis scored in the second half as the Glory posted two goals for just the third time in their last 13 outings.

Eighth-placed Western United have won eight and drawn four of their 20 games. The sophomore A-League club enjoyed a fruitful April with four wins and two draws from seven assignments – including defeats of high-flying Melbourne City and Central Coast.
But they are coming off back-to-back losses at the hands of Brisbane Roar and Western Sydney Wanderers. United were humiliated 5-0 by WSW on Saturday, presenting coach Mark Rudan with one of his biggest challenges to date: rebuilding a shellshocked line-up’s confidence on a short turnaround.

Western United with the wood on Glory
The Glory are searching for their first win over Western United. The newcomers managed a 1-all draw at Geelong and a 2-0 final-round victory in Perth last season.
Western United prevailed 5-4 in an extraordinary early-season encounter at GMHBA Stadium this year. The hosts led 1-0 at halftime before a frantic goalscoring spree unfolded. United’s Dylan Pierias and the Glory’s Carlo Armiento bagged second-half braces to leave the scores locked at 4-all before Steven Lustica netted the 84th-minute winner.
The Glory are $2.20 favourites at home on the back of their breakthrough win on the weekend and United’s horror loss.
Another free-flowing, high-scoring encounter between these clubs looms, but I’m handing the Best of the Day edge to Perth.
