While we’re still a while away from seeing players on the field in any sport, the NFL is still preparing for the next season with the 2020 Draft.
NFL coaches and scouts have set up their War Room at home this year. The draft will be conducted online, without fans, but no doubt with some issues. The test run didn’t get off to a good start with the Bengals having issues with the 1st pick.

However, the show is expected to go on.
For the most part, the opening scenes have already been written and acted out.
ESPN, CBS, Sports Illustrated, The Ringer, and NFL’s official website all have the same three players going 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the draft.
1st Pick (Bengals): Joe Burrow, QB, LSU
2nd Pick (Redskins): Chase Young, DE, Ohio State
3rd Pick (Lions): Jeff Okudah, CB, Ohio State
Burrow has been a lock for the 1st pick in the 2020 NFL Draft even before he won the Heisman Trophy.
His rise has been that prominent.
The LSU quarterback is an outstanding talent that is expected to be the future of the Bengals. He’s confident, aggressive, and most importantly, accurate. Along with his Heisman Trophy, Burrow led LSU to the national championship behind one of the best seasons in college football history throwing for 5,671 yards at 76.3% for 60 touchdowns and just six interceptions.
Once a middling prospect that could go either way, Burrow is now the hottest young name in the league.
“He’s got all of the traits you’re looking for in an NFL quarterback.
We feel very comfortable with him as a prospect.”

Top picks in a draft are often put beside each other for much of their career, so it’s fitting that the consensus 2nd pick is edge rusher, Chase Young. He’s going to be tasked with chasing Burrow and every other quarterback in the NFL, and from what we’ve seen, he’s going to be a good chance at catching them. He reeled in 16.5 sacks in 2019 to set a new Buckeyes record. Some experts have called him “arguably the best player in the 2020 NFL Draft”.
Another worry for quarterbacks around the league is cornerback, Jeff Okudah. He’s widely tipped to be picked up with Detroit’s 3rd pick. Okudah recorded three picks and put an end to nine other passes for the Buckeyes last season. He comes at the right spot in a position of need for the flailing franchise. With the Lions trading away Darius Slay to the Eagles, Okudah can slot in as his replacement and produce from day one.
The Rest Of The Top 10
Isaiah Simmons, Justin Herbert, Derrick Brown, Jedrick Wills, Tristan Wirfs (a popular pick at 4th) and Mekhi Becton are all expected to be drafted Top 10 overall, but Tui Tagovailoa is the big name people are keeping an eye on.
If doctors are happy with how Tagovailoa gets through the medical, teams are looking at the total package at the quarterback position. He’s one of the most talented players in the draft. Tagovailoa has with the pocket-presence, accuracy and ability to make plays in the air and on the ground to mix it with the best in the NFL.
However, he suffered a serious hip injury which could make teams nervous. Some won’t even look at him. He’s an x-factor on the field, and he’s an x-factor in this draft. He could go anywhere but is expected to at least fall behind the safer pick in Herbert ($1.82) at $1.91.
With the Top 3 clear to most, Palmerbet is offering an NFL Trifecta Top Up for Burrow, Young and Okudah to go 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Anything else will come as a big surprise.
