Final thoughts: These two teams meet again after the Sydney Sixers beat the Adelaide Strikers on Sunday night.
The Sixers squeezed out a seven-wicket victory thanks to Josh Philippe’s unbeaten knock of 83 off 52 balls. Off to a flier in the second innings, Philippe’s opening partner, Justin Avendano, chipped in with 47 of 33 balls. However, the Sixers made tough work of the eventual victory despite the 72-run opening stand.

The match went all the way through to the third ball of the 20th over before Tom Curran (10 runs off 3 balls) slapped Peter Siddle for six, securing the win that once looked like a foregone conclusion.
Naming the same team for this one (which includes Josh Hazlewood), the Sixers are searching for a fourth win on the trot. Philippe, second in the BBL for runs scored, is at $4 to finish top bat for his side throughout the hunt.
The Strikers, on the other hand, are looking to avoid a three-game losing streak. Needing a boundary on the last ball to beat the Melbourne Thunder before their loss to the Sixers, the Strikers ended up three runs short with Wes Agar unable to pull off the heroic play.
They do, however, come into the rematch as $1.77 Best of the Day favourites.

Jason Gillespie has selected wicketkeeper-batsman Harry Nielsen is set to make his BBL debut for the Strikers in this one. Meanwhile, Agar may have a chance to add to his five wickets for the tournament with Cameron White and Liam O’Connor falling out of the side.
Alex Carey is primed to be in the runs ($3.80 top Strikers batman) with Jake Weatherald also on the first line of betting at $3.80 after managing just 15 in his last innings. Historically a strong pitch for batting, the Strikers are in a good position to exact revenge on the Sixers after Sunday’s loss.
Despite that, Sixers are the form side and the Best of the Day tip to win.
