The daily preview muscles into the paint with NBA Playoffs tips for Game 6 as Denver Nuggets look to close out Portland Trail Blazers on the road.

Final Thoughts: Denver Nuggets head to Portland with the first opportunity to wrap up a riveting First Round series – but can they overcome the irresistible threat of Blazers spearhead Damian Lillard in front of the Moda Center faithful in Game 6?
The Nuggets reclaimed the series lead 3-2 with a 147-140 double overtime victory in Denver on Wednesday (AEST).
Nikola Jokic (38 pts, 11 reb, 9 ast) and Michael Porter Jr were (26 pts, 12 reb) were integral, while Monte Morris had 28 points off the bench. But the post-match focus was on Lillard.
‘Dame’ scored 55 points – including a playoffs record 12 threes from 17 attempts – and 10 assists. He singlehandedly forced the game into a second period of overtime when the Blazers seemed buried. But support from his teammates was lacking; Robert Covington (19 pts, 11 reb) was the best of the rest for Portland.
It’s been an evenly-fought series up to this point: the Trail Blazers’ 123-109 series-opening win on the road and thumping 115-95 home victory in Game 4 bookended the Nuggets’ 128-109 and 120-115 wins.
Lillard’s electrifying form sees the Trail Blazers head in as $1.47 favourites – despite being the lower seed and behind in the series count. It’ll take another huge performance from Jokic and co., but I can’t go past the Nuggets with the points here – they boast the deeper team and will be tough to put away with the reward of a Semi-final berth on the line.
