The football season never seems to end, and just like that, the Premier League is back in action with Matchday 1 just around the corner.
Plenty has changed in the Premier League over the summer. Transfers have given squads a new look, and managers have moved on. Leicester City, Ipswich Town and Southampton have all come up, and Burnley, Luton Town and Sheffield United have gone.
But some things remain the same, with Manchester City installed as the favourites to win it all again in 2024/25.
Premier League Winner
Arsenal made a season of it in 2023/24 but yet another lengthy winning streak put Manchester City back in the race. A race they officially won on the final day to lift their fourth consecutive Premier League Trophy. They’re at $2.25 to do it all again while Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal is on the second line of betting at $2.80.
Liverpool’s post-Jurgen Klopp era begins under Arne Slot this season. Klopp ended the 30-year wait for Liverpool’s Premier League title. Slot is at $7 to back it up with another in 2024/25. He will bring new ideas and a different approach to things around Anfield but will be doing it tough to improve on their 3rd place finish last season.
There is a big jump to the next title contenders, with Chelsea expected to make big improvements on their 6th-place finish to win the title at $14. Finding consistency is the key for Chelsea this season. Manchester United is in a similar position at $18. They’ve lacked consistency and at least started to look at moving Erik ten Hag along before committing to him this season. However, he’s already planted the seeds about a poor standard being set in the pre-season. He will be the one to go if that standard makes its way onto the field in the coming weeks. Particularly when you consider the influence he has had on building the squad.

Tottenham round out the more realistic title contenders at $20. Ange Postecoglou brought with him a high-intensity and exciting brand of football to the club, but it couldn’t be sustained. He has a history of clicking into gear in his second season at the club leading to Tottenham’s $2.60 for a Top 4 Finish.
Newcastle ($34) talked the talk before walking the walk. Plenty on the operational side of the club have walked out, while manager Eddie Howe doesn’t know whether he’s coming or going. Aston Villa ended up as the surprise packet of the 2023-24 Premier League season to finish 4th and earn a spot in the Champions League for the first time. The challenge now is to replicate that with a busier schedule. Winning the league at $67 is unlikely. Another Top 4 finish at $4.33 should be the goal.
As we get into rest, a lot needs to go right for the remaining teams in the league if they’re to even sniff the top of the table towards the end of the season.
Premier League Winner Odds: West Ham ($176), Brighton and Crystal Palace ($376), Bournemouth, Brentford, Fulham, Wolves, Everton, Nottingham Forest, Ipswich, Leicester & Southampton ($501).

No surprises here: Erling Haaland is the favourite to be the Premier League’s top goal scorer in 2024/25 at $1.72. He’s the leading man at the front of the best team in the league. The 24-year-old will see plenty of chances in front of goal, and we know he doesn’t need many to find the back of the net.
It’s a big, big jump to Mo Salah on the second line of betting at $11. There is risk involved with Salah here. A new manager brings new things to a club. We know Klopp’s approach works for the Egyptian. Will Slot’s? At worst, he will be the penalty taker and tick the tally over from the spot.
Alexander Isak scored 21 goals for Newcastle last season, and with the team around him expected to improve in health and form, he can add a few more to that total. However, rumours around his future add some doubt to his $15.
Also at $15, Ollie Watkins will need to continue his incredible run of form if he’s to lead Aston Villa into another Top 4 spot. Finishing as the top scorer in the Premier League would go along way to securing their position.
The moment of a lifetime.

Only Haaland scored more goals than Cole Palmer last season. He finished up with 27 along with 15 assists across all competitions. His 22 goals and 11 assists ended as the most goal involvements of any player in the Premier League. It’s a high bar to clear as a goal scorer, but if Palmer can replicate his form in front of goal, he appeals at $17.
You never wish an injury on any player, but should Haaland miss an extended period of time, there is a lot of value in the rest of the market.
Premier League Top Goal Scorer Market: Darwin Nunez and Dominic Solanke ($19), Ivan Toney ($21), Son Heung-Min ($26), Kai Havertz and Nicolas Jackson ($34), Bukayo Saka, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Joao Pedro ($41).

Haaland is already installed as the top goal scorer. The expectation is for Kevin De Bruyne, provided he can stay healthy, to provide him with a lot of those goals and finish the Premier League season with the most assists at $3.25. He finished third on the list last year despite playing only 18 games.
Salah also finished with 10 last season in 32 matches. If he can get up to the 12 and 13 assists he managed in the two seasons prior, he will be in the mix again at $10.
He featured in the most goals of any player last season, so Palmer deserves consideration again at $11. Bukayo Saka is always a threat to find a teammate in the box and is alongside Son Hung-Min – who looks set to play wider more often this season with the arrival of Dominic Solanke – at $13. Son managed ten last season and could take on more of the creative duties moving forward.

Crystal Palace finished the 2023/24 Premier League season at 10th – their best-ever finish. Oliver Glasner arrived in February before Palace played with the fifth-best record in the league with him in charge.
So, 5th this season then?
Probably not. A new-manager bounce while other clubs worked through late-season fatigue no doubt contributed to that record. Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise returning from injury helped. The pair scored 16 goals in their last four games at home. Olise being sold to Bayern Munich won’t help. Eze possibly being sold as well makes things more difficult. So, too, does the prospect of Marc Guehi leaving for Newcastle.
Still, Palace is a quality outfit on the up and looks set to feature more prominently in 2024/25.
They won six of their last seven games including a 4-0 hammering of Manchester United. Adam Wharton’s Euros experience with England will add confidence, and he could yet form a dangerous partnership in the midfield with Cheick Doucouré, who returns from a long-term injury.
Eze remaining at the club could be the defining factor. Nonetheless, Glasner has proven himself as a top tactician. If he can keep the majority of the squad together at the top and continue to build on last season and his innovative 3-4-2-1 formation, Crystal Palace look set to finish in the top half this season.
