You’ve got to love these stats. Here we have a really well bred filly, coming back in grade and distance, while 4th up. And she, GREATER GOOD, gets a 3kg allowance too. Wow, what a combo. She will jump from this gate and try and lead. If she finds the rails in front, which she should, without much outside pressure, she can prove too strong. Young apprentice, Qin Yong, rides leaders very nicely too. BANGKOK to run on for 2nd.
Tip: GREATER GOOD
Outside draw and crushing top weight are concerns but this flying machine trained by Nick Olive called FIRE STOKER, looks the play. He has no option but to drive forward from this gate, which will suit him anyway as he is a natural front runner. He led until final stages of a very strong BM 65 Federal at Canberra recently under similar weight. Is very fit and looks the one they all need to catch.
Tip: FIRE STOKER
Not a particularly strong BM 55 which will suit the top weighted horse WARWICK AVENUE. He has a hefty weight and this is a little short of the trips he likes best, but he is down in grade and is first up. And he gets a 2kg weight allowance. From this gate he no doubt drops into about 6th or so, and if settled, he can find daylight and does have a powerful burst, in this grade, late. Expect him to be flashing home.
