- Caulfield - Race 9
- (1400)
- February 10, 2024
1. Mr Brightside (4)
Brilliant racehorse and you wouldn’t be out of place calling him a champion. Is just so honest. Can lead, or can sit off speed or drop right out and come late. So honest, so versatile and is so, so good first up. Resumes here and looks the winner.

Proven Winner
2. Pericles (5)
Outstanding Sydneysider who was run down on the line when just beaten in the $10 million Golden Eagle last start before spelling. Is very potent at this trip, can run fast time and is trialling brilliantly. Will make his presence felt.

Ready to Fire
3. Munhamek (9)
This is the horse that made Damien Oliver’s day when at his very last ride in a race, this bloke took him on that wild journey flashing home between runners in Perth to claim victory in the race named after Olly. Gets back but has finishing speed and fighting spirit. deserves a big race win.

4. Bustler (6)
Tough, durable and talented West Aussie who is in form and up for the challenge. Is up to this grade and came from 15th on bend when flying home into 4th behind Munhamek in that Damien Oliver race. Is a Gr 1 winner and goes well this trip. Place.

5. Buffalo River (1)
Front-runner who is desperate to lead but he’s in a Gr 1 with two others who like to lead, Princess Jenni in particular is a mad-for-the-lead galloper. So that should bring this bloke unstuck.

Likes Dry Track
6. Ayrton (8)
Star galloper who seems back to his best. That win last start here in a 1400m stakes race was full of merit as he hit the wire hard. This is harder but he is gutsy and loves this course.

Track Talent
7. Atishu (7)
Top class mare on her day. Gets back but is a genuine Gr 1 galloper when her mind is on the job. watch betting. This is a tough race for her first-up but if they overcook it up front early, she will be storming home.
-
Good on Soft
8. Pride Of Jenni (3)
Is so tough. Will lead and will lead at a very fast clip being fresh. She will make sure they run a fast pace and last prep she did that in two Gr 1s in a row firstly beating Atishu easily over 1600m, then beating Mr Brightside also over a mile. If she gets loose on the front, she can smash them all again.

Ready to Fire
9. Veight (2)
Got home hard and got home late when a narrow winner last start over 1200m against own age. This is harder but he can run time. Sure to be among them at the finish.
