Round 4 Preview

Since joining the Sydney Roosters, Dominic Young has become unstoppable on the left-edge of the field. Going up against a quality side expect the club’s halves to find him on last tackle.

The Panthers have won their last eight consecutive matches against the Roosters and will be looking to continue their streak. Despite being without Nathan Cleary, Brad Schneider will step up into his position and play the same role that Jack Cogger and Sean O’Sullivan did in recent seasons.

Not only have the Rabbitohs lost their last seven matches in Sydney, but they are also in horrendous form, with coach Jason Demetriou facing the axe. The Bulldogs hope to take full effect on this.

The Rabbitohs have failed to cover the line in their last ten NRL games. It’s hard to see them not cover the line yet again.

The Cowboys have dominated the opening rounds and are the only team yet to record a loss. Unfortunately, the Broncos have struggled with the start to the season and are currently without Payne Haas and Reece Walsh.

Although a victory is on the cards for the Cowboys, it’s hard to see the Broncos not being competitive throughout the match. A close match can be expected.

Tom Trbojevic has been incredible in recent weeks. He rekindled his form, which saw him win the Dally M medal a few years ago and is no stranger to crossing the try-line.

Although the Dragons haven’t been playing to their potential, one player has – Zac Lomax. While his future at the club may be up in the air, Lomax has been terrific this season and is even eyeing an Origin debut.

Unfortunately for the Gold Coast Titans, any team looks like they could defeat them with ease. Coming off a bye, the Dolphins will be looking to use their week off to their advantage and run over their inner-state rivals.

In the last game that the Dolphins played fullback Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow managed to score a hat-trick. Up against an inexperienced team due to injuries, Tabuai-Fidow is an easy pick to notch over the try-line.

The New Zealand Warriors are unbeatable at home and will be looking to notch up another two points as they get set to go against the Newcastle Knights who have been lacklustre recently.

A high-scoring game should be on the table with both team being consistent in attack but lacking on the defensive side of the field.

Hyped up by his teammates, fans, former players and critics, Kayal Iro will be looking to perform well in only his second NRL game in three years.

The Raiders will be looking to continue their good form on Sunday evening when they take on the Sharks – a team with a new-look forward pack after a trio of injuries.

After missing the first three rounds due to suspension, Eels winger Maika Sivo will be eager to continue his hot form from last year and continue his try-scoring ways.

After a shocking win against the Sharks last week, two consecutive wins shouldn’t be off the cards for the Tigers. The Eels will also be without star halfback Mitchell Moses.
