NRL Finals Week 3 Preview

The Minor Premiers are 80 minutes away from reclaiming a spot in the Grand Final and nothing will stand in their way this Friday night. Fielding a fully fit team, they will not only have the home crowd advantage but will take on a Roosters side without Sam Walker and Brandon Smith.

While the Roosters can easily pile on the tries, it is another story in defence, where they are notorious for letting in several points. The Storm are set to score the opening try, and all eyes will be on the wingers Xavier Coates and Will Warbrick. However, another player who will be a shout is centre Jack Howarth, who has had an incredible season to date.

The Penrith Panthers have won ten straight finals matches in a row and enter the match as the clear favourites. The Sharks have struggled against good opposition, illustrated by their first finals match against the Storm and don’t have the forward pack to contend with the three-time premiers.

With a high-scoring match expected in favour of Penrith, multiple players are likely to cross the line on Saturday. One of these players will be winger Brian To’o, who is extremely consistent with the ball in his hands and can overpower the opposing defenders.
