The 2026-27 NFL season is just around the corner, so we’re kicking things off with a look into the futures markets.
Super Bowl Contenders
The Seattle Seahawks enter the year at $12 as defending champions after completing a remarkable Super Bowl run, but history tells us repeating is easier said than done.
The Los Angeles Rams head into the season as deserved favourites at $6 after Matthew Stafford delivered an MVP campaign and guided Sean McVay’s side back to the top tier of the NFC. The Rams have the coaching, quarterback play and offensive firepower required to make another deep postseason run.

Buffalo sit prominently in the market once again at $11, and the Baltimore are in a similar position at $14.
The Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers share $15 quotes.
The Houston Texans sit at $17 and look capable of taking another step forward.
A group of teams follow at $18, the Philadelphia Eagles, New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers.

The NFL MVP award remains a quarterback’s award until proven otherwise. Every year there is talk of a non-quarterback breaking through, yet the reality is simple. If you’re looking for the winner, you’re usually looking for a quarterback who leads his team to a division title and a top seed in the playoffs.
Josh Allen heads the market at $6 and it’s easy to see why. The Buffalo star remains one of the league’s most unstoppable players, capable of throwing for 300 yards and rushing for multiple touchdowns in the same game. If the Bills finally secure the AFC’s top seed, Allen will be difficult to overlook.

Joe Burrow is next in line at $9.50 and may represent the best value near the top of the market. The Bengals quarterback has produced MVP-calibre numbers before, but Cincinnati’s slow starts have consistently worked against him. If the Bengals can put together a complete season and challenge Baltimore for the AFC North, Burrow has all the statistical tools needed to claim his first MVP award.
Drake Maye and Justin Herbert both sit at $11.
Maye enters the season carrying enormous expectations after leading New England’s rapid rise back into contention. The Patriots are no longer a rebuilding project and a strong season from Maye could quickly turn him into one of the league’s biggest stars.
Herbert, meanwhile, may be the most intriguing candidate in the market. The Chargers have steadily improved under Jim Harbaugh and if they can challenge Kansas City atop the AFC West, Herbert’s numbers and narrative will be hard for voters to ignore.
