Christmas is coming which means the NBA is about to heat up. The Lakers and Bucks are already out in front while the Knicks sink further into obscurity.
A New Entrant To Bad Beat HOF
You’ve never seen anything like it.
The Indiana Pacers @ New York Knicks total was set at 209.5 and looked destined to go over with the score at 104-100 (204) with 5:05 left in the 4th quarter.
How could it not?
Well, it didn’t.
Worst beat in NBA history:
Knicks/Pacers over 209
104-100 with 5:05 left 104-103 final

The two teams combined for three points in the last five minutes. Three!!
To add to the pain for Overs punters, Julius Randle missed a free three with 0.1 seconds remaining to send the game to overtime.
We’ve had a few notable bad beats already, but this will be the worst of this NBA season.
Simmons From Deep
Ben Simmons knocked down another three!

As only the second of his NBA career so far, it’s still a big deal every time he hits one. Philadelphia 76ers fans will be hoping it soon becomes regular enough that Simmons connecting from deep isn’t national news.
At 16-7 for the 5th seed in the Eastern Conference, the Sixers have fallen short of expectations so far. Simmons adding a three-point shot can turn this team around, though.
#1 Seeds Extending Lead
The Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers are extending their leads at the top of their respective conferences.
Both have 20-3 records with the Bucks currently on a 14-game winning streak to be three games in front of the Boston Celtics (16-5) in the 2nd seed. Meanwhile, the Lakers picked up three impressive wins on the bounce to end the idea that their fast start to the season was all down to an easy schedule.
In beating the Denver Nuggets, Utah Jazz and Portland Trail Blazers, the Lakers have a 3.5 game lead over the Dallas Mavericks in the West.
Knicks Fire Fizdale
If the Knicks think David Fizdale was the problem with their flailing franchise then we’ve got a bridge to sell them.
— Bleacher Report (@BleacherReport) December 6, 2019
Now on the hunt for their 13th head coach in 18 seasons, the Knicks keep finding ways to extend their spiral out of control.
Sure, Fizdale sent out some strange rotations. Many argued he should have been playing his young guys a lot more. However, what do the front office expect when trading away their franchise player to open cap space only to end up with the likes of Marcus Morris and Julius Randle?
Their 4-19 straight up record is the worst in the NBA. They aren’t doing anything for punters either at 11-12 against the spread.
The dumpster fire in New York continues to burn, and it doesn’t look like it will be put out anytime soon.
NBA ATS Standings
Not even in the Top 8 teams against the spread last week, the Mavericks have flown into third after covering in five consecutive games. They top the Over/Unders list with 14 of their 22 games finishing Over the Points Total.
Meanwhile, the Spurs are still stuck at the bottom of the list for punters.
