John Hickmott saddles 3 of the 6 runners here and I like them all a bit, but mainly the bottom one, LOVE FROM LUCY. She is part-owned by the trainer which is a nice pointer! She has been runner-up twice to date and showed last start when hitting the line strongly over 1350m that she is ready to step up to this trip. Tends to get back and small field should suit. Perhaps toss in Hickmott’s OUR FRANCIS for 2nd. He hasn’t shown anything yet in 3 runs but the trip might kick-start his career.
Tip: LOVE FROM LUCY
Small field which will make the way the race is run quite interesting. I like FRANGIPANI MOON despite drawing the deepest. She probably drops back to the rear or near there and if the pace is on she can quicken late. Did win a similar race 3 runs back and subsequent efforts have been sound too, finishing in the placings. I’ll quinella her with ARDOYNE ROAD.
Tip: FRANGIPANI MOON
The combo of champion jock Willy Pike and trainers Grant & Alana Williams is so lethal you just have to have them in your numbers every time you see them in. We get that here with this beautifully bred, lightly-raced filly SPECIAL CHOICE. Today she cops a bad draw here, but was runner-up at this level on debut then put away to grow. Since has trialed very impressively and if she gets cover, she should rattle home. LEICA JAGUAR is handy and has placed twice this grade so have in the quinella.
