Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s meetings and singles out his top three horse racing tips from HamiltonTamworth. Good luck, punters!

Even field here. I think there are a lot of problems with me. I am going to tip and back a horse who has been beaten 17 times in a row at this level. It’s GALAXY GLEN. To be fair, he looks, on paper, to be VERY close to a win. Placed 4 of his past 9 starts for instance, including a really strong 3rd last start under 68.5kg. The Plate conditions here mean he carries just 58.5kg this time. So he should appreciate that. I see him in top 6 all the way and out-grinding them late.

With not a great deal of pace expected here, I think Greg Ryan can make hay while the sun shines with CHICK IN CHARGE. From this alley, he can fire her out of the gates and assume the lead. From there, this very fit mare should just lob along on speed and find too much down the running. She’s had a lot of chances but has found a bit of form now and has taken a while to realise that she is a racehorse. KITCHENER can plod home for 2nd.

I’m again pinning my hopes on the only real early speed in the race here. I like ROYAL VILLA. Brooke Stower, who is riding like George Moore these days winning on anything, should get this bloke out and to the front early. If nothing takes them on, and I suspect nothing will, he is fit and tough enough to just keep whacking away and win. Was 2nd, trying to implement that exact game plan last start in a Class 3. So drops in grade here.
