Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s meetings and singles out his top three horse racing tips from Coffs Harbour & Geelong. Good luck, punters!

The best-named horse in the race is my hope here. He is called GUTSY. He’s trained by Matty Ellerton and Simon Zahra has he has placed at his past 3 runs this grade, all on different tracks too, and has racked up 4 placings from his 5-start career. Has drawn perfectly. Likes to be just behind the speed and he is super fit now. LIGHTHORSE LAD is pretty strong late and off the inside represents the quinella play for mine.

I think the fact Wyong trainer Kristin Buchanan’s 3YO SEPPLIME has drawn so well, she is the play here. This will be her 3rd race start and she clearly is a work in progress. On debut she sat back with the cap-catchers and rattled home to run 3rd this grade at Armidale. Then she went to provincial grade and was in front from the moment the gates opened. She wilted to run 6th. This is easier than that race and from this draw, she should be able to be in about 3rd on the paint until the bend. Should finish too hard for SETHLANS me thinks.

Intriguing race. I have to go with the Kristin Buchanan charge HUBBLE here. Which means I think she trains a double at this meeting. Hubble has the terrible draw on paper but that’s mitigated by the fact he drops out so it actually isn’t disadvantageous at all. He has done that at his past 4 starts and on each occasion he has flashed home with a red beacon over his head. Starting to think he might be a gunna horse, but he was just beaten last start and is suited this trip. Looks the one in a good Cl 1 field from SEBARGO.
