Form student, RIC CHAPMAN, takes a look at today’s thoroughbred meetings and singles out three top horse racing tips, from Seymour and Wyong. Good luck, punters!

I was all over TOWER ROAD in town last start when he was ridden a lot closer than normal and kept whacking away to place 2nd. That was his 3rd race start. Awkward draw here so he may revert to his old style of racing, that of getting back and running on. Is overdue for a win given his talents and looks very nicely placed here.

I just love backing horses coming back in grade – even if they are a little out of form. Chris Waller saddles BEIDI here who has struggled just behind the placegetters at his past 8 starts. But, the significant things to note here are that Beidi, on each of those occasions, hasn’t been beaten far: 3.6 lengths here, 2.5 lengths there, etc and on all occasions has been up in the weights. Carries the grandstand here also, but this is a Class 1. His recent runs have all be around the BM70 class – which is generally way better than this level. On potential, WAKA looks well placed to be in the placings too.

Home track advantage is something I take very seriously. And the toppie here WHITE BOOTS lands in the box seat from this draw and also in terms of class. He’s one of those ‘always fills a place’ types -his form backs that up too with 5 wins and 4 placings from his 10 starts to date. Last start when resuming he came from mid-pack to grab 3rd in a BM 70 at Randwick. That was 1400m and he is better suited to this journey. Looks a genuine HUGE hope from OAKFIELD CAPTAIN.
