Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s meetings and singles out his top three horse racing tips from Scone & Corowa. Good luck, punters!

Scone R2 – Mdn Hcp 1100m

14:25 (Local Time)

I know this is a pretty strong maiden field. But I’m on the locally trained and well-bred FREE RIDER. In form apprentice Tom Sherry takes 2kg off and from this nice draw and being 2nd up from a very long spell, he looks ready to fire. He should sit in about 4th spot. Being on home track is a big advantage. Was beaten a long neck last start making ground late this trip and grade.

Corowa R4 – Mdn Hcp 1200m

15:25 (Local Time)

This looks a bit of a match race between the top 2 in saddlecloth order. They are MIQYAAS who was crunched on debut in the betting yet failed to run a place. And MR ALOYSIUS. I’m on the latter. But I’m basing that on the fact he has genuine early speed which is a major asset at this track. He ran 3rd at Canberra on debut when leading. Last start he was a well-beaten 5th but sat back 9th to the bend. He should drive to the front, hopefully, this time. I’ll quinella them up.

Scone R7 – C2 Hcp 900m

17:30 (Local Time)

I think there will be a huge speed battle on early here and probably all the way. The former Victorian TALAAQY is pretty fast and did win a BM 58 last start leading all the way. From this gate he shoots toward the lead. But so will TANGO STEPZ from the wide gate. She has no other option. And when she won her 900m mdn she beat a subsequent 2 x provincial winner. Her problem is the last 50m but if she clears the other horse she can hang on now she is 3rd up.
