Form student, RIC CHAPMAN, takes a look at today’s meetings and singles out his three top horse racing tips, from Echuca and Coffs Harbour. Good luck, punters!

Here’s a mare who needs and deserves a win. CHANDON APPAREL has staying talent and should show it abundantly here. In fact, looks the best-placed runner anywhere all day. She has been running on very gamely and placing her past few this grade over shorter trips. Up to a trip, her pedigree agrees with – she’s by High Chaparral – and with this gate should be on the fence about 5th until called upon. Has shown she has strong finishing power in the past. SO SCHMICK for 2nd spot if you like an Exacta.

This is a pretty solid bush Class 1 as far as Class 1 races go. Lots of genuine speed and three or four smart, progressive types coming tough. One of them is NO DOUBT ACRACKER who is now with Kris Lees. She’s drawn the 6 gate here and so will drop in behind the speed, probably even land in the perfect one, one trail and being 3rd up you’d imagine she is super fit now and ready to rumble. Is by Not A Single Doubt and has a fair share of talent already winning one from four starts. Respect from PLUCK AND LUCKY.

There is often a reason why horses just don’t win. Lack of talent is the primary one, but occasionally you get these horses who always seem to run on and place yet tend to find one better – every time. They frustrate and cause hair to fall out. SCHEMER is fast becoming one of those. He’s placed 4 of past 7 starts, the last 3 in a row and each time he just looks like he’ll win next start. Maybe he’s a nonny, we will know today. I’m not a fan of tipping them but on mapping this race, he does deserve one last chance.
