Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, takes a look at today’s thoroughbred racing and singles out his three top horse racing tips, from Corowa and Quirindi. Good luck, punters!

I’m very interested to see how WHYCATCHIM performs here. He brings totally different form lines to this race having done all his racing in Queensland. And he has performed well in town at BM85 level. In most jurisdictions, that holds up perfectly for a bush Open Hcp. Has a new trainer now and gets a 1.5kg weight allowance with Courtney Gravener. Can lead and I suspect he musters early from out wide as being on pace suits this track.

Former West Australian galloper SCARLET MISSILE looms as the one to beat here. Since trekking across the Nullabour, she’s had 2 starts and improved each time culminating with a strong finishing, eye-catching 3rd at Class 1 level last start at Coffs Harbour. This trip is more to her liking and she gets the services of Greg Ryan as opposed to a 3kg apprentice last start, so rates very highly in my book.

The evolution of this filly SOORI has been noticeable. She opened her racing career at Scone over 900m and was run off her feet finishing 9th, then led at Tamworth and finished down the course. Over 1015m at Grafton next start she drew wide and was well back all the way but came hard at the end to grab 4th. Then last start with Greg Ryan on top, who incidentally rides her again today, she jumped on the speed and led all way to win her mdn at Muswellbrook. Harder here but she just keeps improving so looks the testing material.
