Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s meetings and singles out his top three horse racing tips from Ipswich & Hawkesbury.  Good luck, punters!

I think we can get the cash here with FANTASY EAGLE. The 3kg weight relief is very handy. And so is the rails draw. Form is excellent for this. Has only raced five times to date for a pair of bush wins and three placings. So we know there that he is honest and consistent. Made a powerful run from midfield last start in what may be a slightly stronger race than this to grab 2nd, narrowly beaten. Does look nicely placed from Canberra visitor ROMAN who is racing well.

This is a fascinating little race and as such may represent value. I’ve settled for HENDO’S MAGIC on a number of fronts. Firstly, the 5YO is trained here and I always give a horse a length or two when I see that. Secondly, he has form at this trip and will settle about two pairs back of the lead. He’s very fit and should run on, and thirdly, probably mainly, he just looks so well placed in this after Mikayla Weir’s claim. The last time he was at this level he won, carrying more weight. Quinella him up with PERALTA.

It looks like leading rider Jim Byrne will have a big day at Ippy today. He’s on a $1.20 chance earlier in the day and can win this race too TRUMPED UP. Apart from the fact it’s an election year in the US and POTUS is in the news constantly making this a topical tip, the horse himself is racing in great touch. Has placed twice since resuming, both times in this grade and he’s drawn perfectly to sit on pace then launch. Looks a good bet.
