Kim Waugh has a terrific record at Wyong with her horses. They just run better. So in that spirit, I’m on HIDDEN HILLS in this. He resumes from a spell and comes into this with just the one trial where he was an eye-catching 4th. Failed to run a place in 3 goes last campaign but all races were this strong or slightly better and he wasn’t ever far away. Tommy Berry takes the ride here. I see him out back in 5th to the bend and coming hard late. Throw in PSICOPATICO for 2nd.
Tip: HIDDEN HILLS
I do love genuine city horses when they are sent to the bush for the first time. And here we have the former Chris Waller-trained COSTAS lining up in a set weights race at Narromine. He has been disappointing in town this time up failing to run a place but those races have been 8 lengths tougher than this. From this gate he will sit back about 5th, hopefully with cover, then out-kick them quite comfortably.
I have a feeling this bloke BOWING might be a legitimate emerging talent. No superstar, but handy to the level of Saturday city grade in time. Today will be a stepping stone. He came from the clouds to win his mdn narrowly over 1400m, then up in weight and up in class to BM 64 level, he tried to do exactly the same thing, failing by a head in the mud last start. Gets out to 1600m here and back to a Cl 1. All adds up to a pretty good thing in my view.
