A lot of non-winners in this race. PRINCE CAMELOT is by virtue of him being in this race, one of them but he has excuses – he’s only had three starts thus far. And he has given the impression each run that the further the race the better he will perform. Gets a trip here and being 4th up he should be very fit and ready. Got back and plugged on gamely enough in exact grade here last start to wind up 3rd. His rival again, THE BOOMERANG, beat him home and looks progressive too. They can quinella this race.
Tip: PRINCE CAMELOT
The jury is still out about just how good this Godolphin filly GORGONS is, but at the very least she is talented. Sat just behind the speed in what has proven to be a very strong maiden here last start, yet outkicked them to win be nearly a length. The horse 3rd that day, has since won a maiden by a huge space. No doubt, now that she’s even fitter, sits back identical to last start and will finish hard again as she is in well at the weights.
Slowly but surely the toppie here AL SHAHHAD has improved. Is still only a 3YO but at his past three runs he has been close to speed and finished the races off well enough to grab 2nd on each occasion. Has drawn the ideal gate here in 4 and the Plate conditions suit him a great deal. He can park in the one, one and finish too well. Is very fit now. Trained by Team Hayes and Dabernig and has Luke Nolen on top.
