Gee, there is a sense of timing about TRUE QUALITY and this race. This impeccably bred 3YO filly strolled in back in January on debut in a mdn in town. Then was put away. Resumed a few weeks back in a tough BM 66 and was game being on speed all the way to run 3rd. Is fitter now. Is in a Showcase Class 1 which is her rightful grade and last week handily won a barrier trial. Might just be the bet of the day.

I’m on the toppie here named DUNBRODY CASTLE. She is a gifted 3YO filly, certainly been given enough talent at this level anyway, and this is her 2nd campaign. When last in work she placed in this grade 4 times. Tends to like it longer so looks to drop out early then come with a swooping run down the outside. Did place twice on wet ground last campaign and recently won a barrier trial. Looks a really good chance to me.

I’m on the Mick Price-Michael Kent trained filly REGAL RIFFLE in this. She’s by Dundeel so straight away you know she’ll get this trip and be motoring home. Which is what she did at big odds on debut when 2nd similar race at Wangaratta. That experience will do her the world of good. Probably even means she sits a little closer in the run now that she’s aware of what’s needed of her. Most of her main rivals haven’t drawn well whereas she has the perfect marble. Perhaps toss in MALBAS for the quinella.
