Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s meetings and singles out his three top horse racing tips, from Morphettville, Doomben & Grafton. Good luck, punters!

Gee if this race was 1400m I’d declare IT’S A MYTH the best bet of the day. As it is I’m still getting on for a big chunk simply because I think she is very, very well placed. Is 3rd up and is coming off a paralyzing win in Victoria last start where she came from last to win this grade running away. Gets a 2kg weight relief here too. Wow, so many boxes ticked.

The distance concerns me for SAVVY ROCK but he is racing honestly and did win similar, albeit much shorter grade race 3 runs back. Plugged on bravely when runner-up this level last start but that was 1800m. He’s never won this trip or anywhere near it but he has a grafting style which should help him. Will sit just behind speed also which suits this track.

Very even field but in these types of races, I tend to find the best horse. And in this case, it appears to be the topweight CARE TO THINK. At his best, he would flash home late and beat these. But is he at his best? He hasn’t won for over a year and in fact, hasn’t even placed in several starts since winning. They have been at the top level it must be noted. He resumes here and does have a strong first up record and I like the fact Jimmy Byrne has taken the mount as he could have ridden WHYPEEO who should lead these for a long way ensuring a fast pace. Which also suits Care To Think. He’ll be a price but I suspect he will flash home late. For the trifecta, I’ll throw in AFTER ALL THAT who can run on too.
