Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s meetings and singles out his top three horse racing tips from Grafton & Mudgee. Good luck, punters!
I do like horses that show improvement from run to run and preparation to preparation. This lightly raced filly FATTORE STELLA fits that bill here. She has raced just 4 times, and they have been split over two campaigns. First campaign, she was useless, immature and showed no knowledge of the racing game finishing rearward both time. But age, a spell, a few barrier trials and now two starts this time up have her primed for a tip-top performance. She put the writing on the wall with a fast-finishing 2nd at Canberra last start. And Canberra form is very strong here.
Tip: FATTORE STELLA
Despite the fact everything suggests GISELLE ANNE is a herd horse, I kinda like her to accidentally win this. I have no doubt she is considerably faster than her rivals. But she has shown in 17 race starts to date that she likes to run with the herd and not in front. She has placed 6 times including last start. Anyway, she has drawn deep here but she is a dual acceptor who was scratched on Friday from a winnable race. She is very fit but bet warily as she isn’t genuine.
Tip: GISELLE ANNE
I’m going out on a bit of a limb here and tipping THE KROC. He’ll be good odds but I think being 3rd up after a pair of really tough runs, that he might be ready. I see him parking just behind the pace, which may be set by REAL GENT and just being too strong late. Was tried as a stayer last prep and performed poorly so his form doesn’t read well. Which should help us get a better price.
