Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s meetings and singles out his top three horse racing tips from Sapphire Coast & Taree. Good luck, punters!
Sapphire Coast R4 – BM58 Hcp 1408m
Even field here. I think three of them stand out though, they being IZZY LOOKING GOOD, INCH PERFECT and HARD CORE. First thing you do is box them all up. Who wins? I like Izzy Looking Good. After winning his maiden at Nowra, he has run 2nd twice at this level including last start when beaten a nose at Gundagai. was with the speed all the way that day and narrowly went under. Lot to like about his variables for this.
Tip: IZZY LOOKING GOOD
Taree R7 – BM58 Hcp 1257m
A change of stables may be the key for BRAY here. He’s now with Brett Cavanagh at Scone and he’s had two runs this time up, both unplaced but both, particularly the most recent one with Brett as his trainer, full of merit. He was 5th, making ground late and not beaten far when 2nd up in a BM 66. This is a few lengths weaker and you must think that he is a lot fitter now and the distance should suit. MAGNALANE to lob for 2nd.
Tip: BRAY
Sapphire Coast R7 – C1 Hcp 1200m
I am going against the grain here. I’m on the stayer TRIBBIANI, this despite him not ever showing up when resuming and defying history too, re trips. He’s never won under a mile, yet, here he is first-up over 1200m. My theory is that he has improved as he’s aged and he’s become a little faster too. I see him actually being with the leaders, maybe 3rd or 4th to the bend and his staying instincts kick in late beating FREAKY FRECKLES who resumes and who is good first.
