Albury R1 – Mdn Hcp 1400m

This just looks to me a match in two. Topweight MACGYVER’S ME MATE has hit foot on the till and will be heavily supported. Two starts this grade and 2 placings. Likely leads but to me that just sets it up for the mare SIGNAL HILL who is 2nd up here. She should just slot in behind him, travelling in about rd spot to the bend. The 3kg weight pull she has should kick in down the running. I see her coming at him, both of them clearing away from the others, and she claiming him near home. Quinella them up for best results too.

Oh, I think we might make some money here. MONTANA THUNDER, is a rising 7YO, who has raced just 4 times. He possesses a great deal of speed. But he’s failed to stand up to the style of hard training at Tulloch Lodge, so he was then sent to Mark Newnham’s yard, and he trains in a very similar way. So in 2018, he went to Damien Lane at Wyong who had the time to patch him up and get him ready. I think he jumps, finds the early lead and the rails then just destroys these.

I think Team Jones & Joseph can land the chocolates here. They present the honest toppie MOSS THE BOSS and their timing appears spot on. Class of race suits, trip is perfect, barrier means he can drop in with cover just behind the speed and being 4th up, he looks super fit. Ran a terrific 2nd last start as his final prep race for this. He’s by Mossman and they love it wet – the track will be rather soft by this stage of the day. ZABERFELDIE looks his only real danger.
