Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s meetings and singles out his top three horse racing tips from Grafton, and Mornington. Good luck, punters!

BEAT THAT is the form horse and should take beating although I’m concerned by the outside draw. So I’m on INVINCORE. He’s only lightly raced but did win at Ipswich last campaign. That was solid, but it’s his first-up 5th at the Gold Coast that gets me in. Just behind the pace all the way and  beaten just over 2 lengths by Mick the hat,m who would be a $1.35 chance if he were in this field. So on that basis, plus the fact I think Invincore is on the way up, he’s my choice. But quinella with Beat That.

I know for a fact that experience is a massive help. And if CLASSIC FASTNET has learned anything from his debut run, which incidentally was here as well, then he wins. He was backed from $9 to start $6.50 that day and was last on the home turn in a field of 14 over this trip. He charged through the field late to wind up an eye-catching 5th. Should know more about the game now and sit a lot closer. Looks a special.

I think some trainers just get these Plate races perfectly. And if MISS GEM wins this, then her trainer Michael Costa is one of them. She is a progressive filly and is surely going to win soon. And I think this is her race. This will be her 5th race start. Last start she came from the clouds, being last for home in a Mdn Hcp with 57kg. Drawn to get the run of the race and looks too well-weighted. throw in the rougher KITCHENER
