Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s meetings and singles out his top three horse racing tips from Tamworth &  Moruya. Good luck, punters!

I just love horses third up, especially if they went great when resuming then not so great 2nd up. SCARLEO fits that profile perfectly in this. Ran a terrific 2nd ina  Cl 2 when resuming then sent straight to town for a Highway. Plugged home fairly, in a Cl 2 Highway when beaten 5 lengths. Doesn’t travel as far to race today, and is 3rd up….in a Cl 1. Looks too strong late for mine.

The Sydney youngster KOWLOON TREASURE has been backed heavily overnight to win this and not surprisingly. On debut, he made impressive ground when 3rd at Canberra behind two very promising young Canberra speedsters in Wilful Soul and Scalded, both of whom have won races since this race. It was a heavy track and Kowloon Treasure was all at sea. Firmer surface here, experience under his belt, he looks a good thing.

This is a fascinating race. we see the return of the brilliant country galloper LIGULATE. He carries a big weight but when last in work he did win the Tamworth Cup beating Zaunkonig who on the weekend won the big $100,000 Dubbo Cup. So the form is strong. Ligulate is trained by Cody morgan whose stable is in form, especially here at his home track. Ligulate also boasts a pretty handsome first-up record. Hardest to beat is probably BEACON who was on pace all the way to win the Moree Cup last week. These blokes are tough as old boots types and will most likely battle this out. Terrific contest this one.
