Form student, RIC CHAPMAN, takes a look at today’s thoroughbred racing and singles out his three top horse racing tips, from Goulburn and Grafton. Good luck, punters!

MAKE AN OFFER will charge across from this wide gate and lead and will ensure the pace is on all the way. Which should suit THE BLUESMOBILE. He was 9th on debut at Wagga but forget that run as he was knocked rotten with 250m to. Showed truer form last start when on the pace all way and beaten in last hop over 1400m at Wagga this grade. That should make him very fit and very, very competitive here. Should run down the leader. They can quinella this race.

I just love these middle distance maidens where most of the field is made up of non-winners – horses that may or may not have the ability but just want to run with the pack, and not ahead of it. PRIVATELY EPIC may be different. He is a get back and run on type and has done that enough times to make me think, ability is his issue, not his mind. And on ability, he looks very well placed this trip 2nd up. Rattled home to finish 2nd similar race when resuming last start and this is a little further.

It’s fair to say two things about this race stand out: firstly, it’s a solid Class 2 and secondly, NAPOLI is a pretty disappointing racehorse. When he was a bit younger, last campaign even, he looked like progressing to a city grade racehorse. He may still do that and a win here would kickstart his campaign. Did place in Open bush grade 2 runs back. Has the talent, but his mind is his issue. Still, I evaluate this race to be one he is well placed in.
