Palmerbet Racing Team takes a look at today’s thoroughbred meetings and single out three top horse racing tips, from Gosford and Wagga. Good luck, punters!

This is a pretty handy Class 2. The interestingly named SAFADO (which when translated is a swear word in Portuguese) might be pretty handy. He’s just had 2 starts – a runaway win at maiden grade when settling behind the pace over 1100m, then a photo-finish 2nd to subsequent Gr 3 winner RESIN. He’s had a couple of trials in recent weeks to get him right for this and looked very fast in both. Big weight here but he looks quite exciting. HE’S SUPER LUCKY is smart and can place too.

Tip: SAFADO

He’s only had 6-lifetime starts, and just 2 this campaign, but reading all the form in the race suggests the Canberra-trained TOBERMORY is ready for this. He was spelled after his Gundagai maiden win and resumed at Randwick in a Highway when 7th. Then was taken to Canberra, in a Class 2, and was on pace all way when battling away to grab 3rd. This is no harder and he should be immeasurably fitter. Looks a special. For exotic players, we suggest you stand him out and box KIPE and CRYFOWL behind him.

Tip: TOBERMORY

This filly by Delago Deluxe named EVELEIGH looks well placed. That’s providing one of these unraced ones doesn’t jump up and prove to be excellent. Eveleigh has raced 3 times, and all efforts have been sound. Beaten half a length at 2nd race start when runner-up here, then straight to town and was doing best work late when closing 5th in maiden grade. Probably goes back looking for a spot and is fit enough to flash home late.

Tip: EVELEIGH
