Given that Ron Quinton’s IMPATIENCE was ridden to lead early last start and then ran a career high race finishing 2nd, there seems no other option than to again press forward from this awkward outside draw. If she can settle and control the race, she can still be there at the end because this track often gives leaders a boost down the running. Is fit and ready and THOR’S THUNDER can chase her home.
Fascinating race but we think the Chris Waller pair SAINT KATERINA and TWILIGHTER can fight it out. We like Twilighter to finish the best. She’s bred for the trip. She’s won at this track. She was beaten a length in a strong BM 75 grade last start, after getting to the outside and making a long sustained dash down the middle of the track, and she is a dual acceptor. Saint Katerina gets home hard late as well and is in form in this grade, but Twilighter ticks too many boxes.
You’ve heard the saying, “speed kills’, well we think speed will kill off a few here. We have two who know nothing but driving forward in INTEGRATED and FLYING ENCOUNTER, then there is SACRED SISTER who also darts hard from the gates and goes forward. This should allow CHAS MARLOW to drop in to a perfect trail, probably a one one sit, and finish too well as all the others are weak final 100m. Should be a neat spectacle.
