Tips – Gr 2 Missile Stakes

We just may see the very best of this bloke. He has repeatedly failed when presented past 1400m (although his lone Gr 1 was over a mile – but it was in slow time in a 3YO race). Has had time to fill out, and his two trials have been excellent leading into this. I expect a big showing.

Top class sprinter on his day and he certainly looks back in fine fettle if his sizzling time to win the Gr 3 Bletchingly first up over this trip is anything to go by. Boasts great 2nd up form too and should go close to quinellering this with Golden Mile his stablemate.

This looks a nice race for him. At his best he can finish too well for these. Resumes here after being thrashed in Gr 1 TJ Smith but this is a lot easier. And he does race well while fresh. Have in your numbers.

Outstanding sprinter and has now had time to settle into his new stable and the teachings of master sprint coach Joe Pride. Has super speed on his day and should lead these. Resumes but goes well fresh. May pay to watch market because he has dazzling potential and if he has improved as a sprinter, he wins this.

Smart and honest and is in form but may be a length behind the very best ones here. Stablemate of Big Parade. Is very capable of being in your numbers.

Bush sprinter with talent. Resumes here but has pace and will be right among them all the way. Being out deep may be an issue if he doesn’t get in early.

Is interesting. Has been here for about six months after starting his career in New Zealand. Up in class here but he seems to be thriving with new trainer John O’Shea. Likes to get up on speed. Ran good time to land a BM 88 last start at Randwick.

Handy Qld sprinter but best form has been just below this grade. Was beaten last start when 3rd in a BM 88. Will struggle against these.

She resumes here after two solid trials. On her day she can really fly late. Isn’t quite up to this level but deserves a crack as she is strong when fresh. Is a Gr 3 winner this trip.

Two trials and two impressive wins leading into this. Beaten 2 lengths last race start when 7th in Gr 1 Oakleigh Plate. is outstanding on her day and is improving every start. Is also unbeaten this track from two starts. Watch market.
