1. Rothfire (1)
What a soldier. Just an iron horse with so many weapons in his arsenal. Resumed from a spell and fought back courageously in the straight when 2nd to the brilliant Imperatriz. Gets better as he gets into his preparation and is going to make a real race of it from this idea inside draw. Must be considered.

Ready to Fire
2. The Inferno (8)
Hasn’t won for a long time and Gr 1 racing is very hard. But, he resumes here and he has a terrific record while fresh. Should get back, probably 7th to the bend and that will help as he may finish hard at very big odds.

3. Uncommon James (7)
Has only had the 10 starts but he is very smart and is a dab hand while fresh. Not raced since going to West Aust for the $4million Quokka and beaten just 2 lengths by Overpass after covering ground from a wide gate. Won a recent trial. Have in your numbers.

Proven Winner
4. Zoustyle (3)
Is very fast and will lead these for a long while. Terrific 4th when beaten just over 3 lengths by Imperatriz here last start in record time when resuming. Fitter now and will take catching.

Place Performer
5. Generation (2)
Very honest and goes well without winning in these events. Resumed from spell and close up 4th to Asfoora in Gr 3 last start. This is 100m less and may struggle to pick them up.

6. Acromantula (4)
Very speedy type from West Aust. Led all way to win here this trip in fast time two starts back then thrust into top grade when competitive 5th to Imperatriz last start. Probably finishes same spot here.

Track Talent
7. Imperatriz (5)
Has won 14 of 20 starts and is the premier speedster in New Zealand. Proved that and the fact she is well up to Aussie stars too with a track record performance to run past Rothfire and Giga Kick when resuming last start this trip. Unbeaten in 2 starts this track and looks the one to beat again.

Proven Winner
8. Asfoora (6)
May be an intriguing thorn in the side of these superstars. Has speed and finds the line hard. Was 3rd in Gr 1 Oakleigh Plate, 4th in the $4m Quokka and resumed from spell over 1100m last start in a Gr 3 and won easily. Watch her.
