1. Mr Brightside (15)
What a good horse! After comfortably winning the $5million All Star Mile, he headed north to take on the Gr 1 Doncaster over a mile at Randwick. It was worth $4million and he stormed home to win it too. Just is so honest. On speed when too good in the Gr 2 Lawrence when resuming last start this trip. Must be considered.

2. I Wish I Win (1)
This bloke just might be the best galloper in the land. Can sprint with the best of them, showed that when winning the Gr 1 TJ Smith last prep beating Giga Kick. And can run a great mile showed that when finishing brilliantly to win from star mare Fangirl in $10million Golden Eagle last prep. Is stronger now and has a tremendous first up record. Should finish like a train.

Good on Soft
3. Alligator Blood (14)
Will be up on pace and will take beating. Is just so tough and consistent. Too good for Mr Brightside over a mile at Gr 1 level last prep and also easily beat him in the Gr 1 Futurity this trip. Has won 6 times this journey and has won 4 times while resuming. Resumes here and rates highly after 2 easy trial wins.

Ready to Fire
4. Nonconformist (6)
Tough, solid Gr 1 stayer. Will probably gets back and because this is a really strong field he may find it hard making ground late.

Good on Soft
5. Aegon (13)
Pretty smart horse this on his day but he spaces those excellent days. Resumed from a spell with a cracking and eye-catching 3rd to Mr Brightside this trip. Fitter now and may make a big go of this late.

6. The Inevitable (11)
Tassie superstar who rattled home into 3rd spot in the $5million All Star mile behind Mr Brightside last start. Prolific winner. However, has changed trainers and is a year older. May pay to watch.

Proven Winner
7. Western Empire (9)
Has, or better word, had a great deal of talent when in West Australia but isn’t the same horse over here. Should be safely held here.

8. Bandersnatch (10)
One of those annoying types who shows up every now and then. Is 2nd up here after missing a place in much weaker place here 3 weeks ago. Likes to be on speed but this will test.

Good on Soft
9. Duke De Sessa (5)
European stayer of considerable talent. Probably being aimed for the Melbourne Cup so this should be too short. But keep an eye on him during the spring.

Good on Soft
10. Osipenko (2)
This is a smart horse and his first up 5th to Fangirl last start in similar company was outstanding. Fitter now and should be rattling home.

11. Bank Maur (7)
Smart enough on his day and can run with these guys at this level. Resumes here after a Gr 2 win and a failure in the Gr 1 Australian Cup. From this draw probably sits about 5th, one off and has a place show.

12. Amenable (12)
Not sure he is up to these but does have talent and appreciated this trip more than any other distance. Beaten a head at Gr 2 level in 1400m Autumn Stakes, then failed when stepped up in journey. Spelled and won handsomely this trip when resuming. Much harder here but is fit and will run on.

13. Princess Grace (3)
Super mare. is form the US where she had such consistent form right up to Gr 1 level. In 3 Ausssie runs she has placed each time, latest when on slowest part of track and beaten in photo by Fangirl this trip. Fitter now, is right up to this and looks one of the hardest to beat.

14. Annavisto (4)
Has brilliant stats and form when resuming and is fresh here. Thrashed in the Gr 1 Coolmore last start but previous form was handy enough. Does like it wet, does like this track and could be a dark horse at big odds.

15. Steinem (8)
good, tough mare who is well up to this level. Has placed at Gr 1 level and won at Gr 2 level. Resumes here after a great trial win and goes well fresh. Can hit the line hard.
