Gr 3 – Silver Eagle Stakes Preview

At his best he is better than all of these and would win comfortably. Was disappointing when resuming though behind Southport Tycoon in WFA Gr 1 Manikato Stakes at the Valley. Has won up to 1500m at Gr 1 level and should improve here. Looks very well placed.

Led all the way to win a Gr 3 over a mile last prep after drawing off the track so probably hammers out of the gates here and crosses them all in front. Is 3rd up now and on home track so he will give a big sight out in the lead. Can place.

Is smart but is resuming and has had 3 tries while resuming and is yet to win first-up. Saying that, has the great draw and can handle wet or fast tracks. Place.

Racing very consistently and is gunning for a picket fence of 4 straight wins here. Is up in grade but the biggest problem is the gate. Where does he get to in the run? If he drives forward he may sit 3-deep. Has proven he can sit back and run on too so that may be the option. Tough field but his form is great of late.

Up on speed and beaten a nose last start by Ostraka who he faces again here. Drawn well and is trained here so should be in the firing line all the way.

Can run with these as he proven in the past. Dropped off badly last start when resuming behind Ostraka last start. yes to win 2nd up from 3 attempts and this will test.

Exciting when he is on. Tried over 1800m and the experiment just didn’t work. So, freshened for this. Likes to get up on pace and should be able to from this gate. Has talent enough to warrant a thought here.

Has always promised to win a big race and caught the eye when flashing home last start to grab 3rd behind Ostraka when resuming. Suited this trip but does meet Ostraka 5kg worse for losing to him last start. And that’s significant. Place.

Likes to get out and be on pace. Gets that chance from this draw and did win at Doomben over 1350m 2 runs back. This is harder, however.

Is getting better with racing and has drawn to receive a perfect run just behind the pace on the rails. Bolted in at only start this trip and last run was 2nd in good time over 1200m at The Valley. Fitter now. Can sneak a place.

Super mare and looks well placed. Resumed from spell with a great win in fast time over 1100m in the Toy Show at stakes level then last start, straight to WFA Gr 1 level and was an impressive 4th to Southport Tycoon. Will sit just off the speed in about 5th and be there ready to pounce when they turn. Big threat.

Looms as a threat here as she is 3rd up and looks to appreciate this grade and trip. Stormed home last start over 1200m in the Gilgai at Flemington on a soft track to grab 3rd. Would have won in one more bound. Have in your numbers.

Really good mare who is very close to a win. Likes to sit back and run on as she did past 2 starts, latest when 3rd on slow track behind Revolutionary Miss over 1400m at Flemington in Gr 2. Fitter now and probably sits about 8th with cover. If she gets out she runs home hard.

Very talented mare who resumes here. probably sits back and weaves a run home. Tough as first-up but has won 4 times so must be in the conversation especially as she loves it wet.

Interesting galloper. Is very strong in his grade which is lengths below this, but at his past 2 starts he has run faster over 1200m and over 1400m than any of these have run. Is a place show at big odds.
