1. Belclare (14)
Top-class Sydney mare who is absolutely flying at present. Just jumps and runs and grinds her rivals into the dust. Hard here from this gate and with this weight but if she crosses and leads unopposed she will take catching. There are a lot of runners who like to drop back early. Won past 2 in this fashion.

Proven Winner
2. Bustler (10)
Local star who has foot on the till. Is 3rd up here. And, did win this race last year looking very sharp. Has always shown top-class form at this time of year and last start when 2nd in strong lead-up race was first rate. Must be considered.

Ready to Fire
3. Casino Seventeen (11)
Started $21 last start when resuming in the 1400 Gr 2 Lee Steere under 59kg but came from last of 11 on the end to win narrowly but in good time. If he repeats that run he’s a big show but consistency has been an issue. Has won 2nd up in the past.

4. Democracy Manifest (19)
Has his foot on the till. Sydney star who burst through a gap late after being held up when impressive 3rd to Lindermann in the Gr 3 Craven Plate over 1800m last start. is very fit. Has won this trip and will be flying home.

Ready to Fire
5. Light Infantry Man (2)
Appreciated the urgings of Jay Mac last start when he sat just off the speed and sprinted too quickly to land the cash in the 1600m Manifold in Melb. That proves he’s back to best and should be storming home late. Beautifully drawn here.

Ready to Fire
6. Magnificent Andy (1)
Local star with talent and is in form. Burst between runners late to just miss when 3rd to Casino Seventeen and Bustler last start over 1400m. Loves this trip and from this great draw should be up in about 4th on the fence all the way. Sure to be right in the finish.

7. Comfort Me (6)
Beat Super Smink and Magnificent Andy when leading all the way in good time 2 starts back over 1400m. Tried to lead all the way last start and folded up final 50m when beaten 1.6 lengths by Casino Seventeen. Has won this trip but will be weary final 100m.

8. Let's Galahvant (15)
Is 3rd up and is ready to fire. Can run with this crowd as he did well last prep. The 2 starts this time up have been solid, latest when beaten 1.5 lengths in blanket finish over 1400m in the Lee Starre by Casino Seventeen. Fitter now and loves this trip. Place.

Ready to Fire
9. Searchin' Roc's (7)
If track is wet she’s the one to beat. Just behind placegetters past 3 after easy win in the mud in 1300m stakes race. Last start beaten a length in that blanket finish 1400m Lee Steere behind Casino Seventeen. Is fit, has drawn well and bound to be in the fray.
10. Socks Nation (17)
Classy Victorian mare who has won at Gr 1 level. Started $61 last start when hitting the line hard and 3rd to Atishu in Gr 1 Empire Rose this trip. Probably goes back from this gate which hurts her hopes but she is flying right now. Big show with clear running late.

Ready to Fire
11. Mojo Rhythm (13)
Shocked when returning to form with Gr 3 win over 1500m last start here in slow time. Just scraped in but came home hard. This is tougher though.

12. Port Lockroy (9)
Sydney galloper with talent who has been a tad unlucky in past few runs yet has only been just behind the placegetters. Is in well at the weights here and should be right in the finish.

Place Performer
13. Super Smink (18)
Is in fine form. Stormed home to win a slowly run Gr 3 Asian Beau over 1400m earlier this month. Had previously run a fantastic, eye-catching 2nd to Comfort Me here against a few of these. Is weighted very well and gives the impression this trip will suit.

14. Triple Missile (4)
Good galloper on his day who likes to get back and settle. Has drawn perfectly so where does he get early? May well get caught up midfield behind runners. Can finish hard but may not get a clear run home.
-
Good on Soft
15. Trix Of The Trade (8)
Has a finishing burst on him and did win this race 2 years ago. Last year he flashed home late to grab 4th behind Bustler in this race. Was beaten just over a length in that blanket finish last start behind Csino seventeen and is fitter now. Weughted well.

Ready to Fire
16. Zipaway (12)
Is the dark horse in the field. Carried 59kg when getting home hard and 4th in that magical blanket finish to the Lee steere Gr 2 last start over 1400m. Has a good enough 2nd up record and has won at this trip. Was Gr 1 placed this time last year. Probably sits midfield with cover and has the strength to finish hard late.
-
Ready to Fire
17. Yonga Lass (5)
Good mare who has drawn well and was narrowly beaten by Mojo Rhythm last start over 1500m after finishing hard from well back. Drawn well and can go forward but this grade may test late. Will be thereabouts.

Track Talent
18. Aztec Ruler (20)
More than handy but bad draw here is a big worry. Has to sit wide and that will blunt his finishing power.
-
Good on Soft
19. Diamond Scene (16)
Is 3rd reserve and may not get a start. Ran home well to win easier Lucky Gray stakes over 1800m last start but the bad draw means that he would have to go back with a host of others and probably finds this too hard late.
-
Track Talent
20. Buckets Ridge (3)
Drawn well but grade at this level will test. Did place in the WA Derby earlier this year but was thrashed last start over 1800m. Not keen.
