What a grand old sprinter he is. Always shows up and performs irrespective of track, surface and opposition. Wouldn’t be down here from Qld if he wasn’t firing. Big show.

Out and out speedster. Likes to lead and did that last st6art when a gallant 2nd to the brilliant Baraqiel over 1000m. Got 2kg off him that day, led him and got run down by over a length. Very fit and fast and in 5 starts here has never finished further back than 2nd. Place show again.

Good, solid, hard-finishing Qld sprinter who is resuming here. Has a good record at this distance. Grade may test him though.

Yet another visiting Qlder who has a great turn of foot early. And he likes this surface here. Up on pace and a great last 100m to hang tough when 3rd to Baraqiel here last start this trip. Awkward gate this time but will scoot across and is fitter now. Place again.

Interesting runner. Carried no weight when gutsy winner of the Gr 1 Oakleigh Plate last prep. Failed at WFA 2 times since. Resumed from spell in easier race in Adelaide and far too good. Loves this trip but gate is a concern.

Very smart Sydney-sider when on song and drawn perfectly. Will sit just off the speedsters and can come late. Ran very fast time in Gr 2 last prep this trip in Sydney, carrying this weight. Handles wet or dry and looms large.

Hard to go past him. Has an affinity with this surface – winning all 3 starts this track. Never beaten first-up which he showed again last start and never beaten 2nd up which he is here. Just too many things in his favour. Should sit about 4th and power home again.

South Aussie with talent. Resumes here and goes well fresh but gate is a worry. was 2nd in Gr 1 Goodwood last prep at $81 over 1200m. Doesn’t need to lead so may ease and try and slot in. Honest but this may test.

Good sprinter who flies under Blake Shinn who returns to ride him here. Meets Baraqueil 2kg worse off after being beaten by him last start this trip. Can run well but gate is a worry. Place show. Is 3rd up so very fit now.

Top class sprinter in the making. Goes extremely well fresh and resumes here. Moved up to win, after drawing gate 15, in the Gr 1 Oakleigh Plate last prep and weakened last 100m to run 5th. Drawn the rails here and must be in your numbers.

Top class Gr 1 winning mare this trip who looks well in here. Is resuming but finishes like a rocket while fresh normally. Drawn to get a glorious run. Should be about 7th to the bend. Only start this track, she won and has recently won a jump out. Respect her.

Interesting runner. Drawn perfectly and is a Gr winner in Melbourne. Never finished further back than 2nd in 9 starts. Is a Gr 1 performer in her homeland in NZ. Resumes here, has a great first-up record. Should be strongly considered.

Smart Gr 3 level sprinter who should find these a bit quick.

Where will she get in the run from here? Is dynamite when resuming. Four times fresh for 4 wins latest few at Gr level. Resumes here but draw means she may have to travel wide. If not, has claims.

Extra smart 3YO filly. Has won in NZ at Gr 1 level and can sprint well while fresh. Knows how to win. This is hardest test to date but can run time. Watch market. Carries no weight.

Wouldn’t this be a training effort. Wow, this filly has had just 2 starts, but is very fast. Unbeaten in both those starts, both at this trip and won a jump out last week. Drawn perfectly but most of these are seasoned sprint stars. Anyway, has been backed to win this.
