- Eagle Farm - Race 7
- (1300m)
- June 1, 2024
1. I Wish I Win (1)
Perfectly ridden this grade last start, angled out got clear and was run down on the line by Bella Nipotina who faces him again today. He looked one run short. As good as she is, off this draw I can’t see her beating him home this time. Looks a special.

2. Think About It (8)
Ran super fast time to knock off I Wish I Win, Bella Nipotina and Espiona in the Everest over 1200m last year and can run on wet ground effectively too. He was not at his best last campaign but still ran an encouraging 2nd in the Gr 1 Canterbury stakes at this trip when resuming beating Espiona. On his day he can win this.

3. Tuvalu (3)
Looks back better than ever if his first-up, front-running display under 61.5kg at the Bool is anything to go by. Does boast Gr 1 form and is tough. These may be a bit slick early but he’ll be hanging tough all the way home. Place hope.

Good on Soft
4. Uncommon James (11)
Will find these too strong and this too far. Not keen.

Track Talent
5. Antino (12)
Enigmatic type who is brutal when fresh. Has been 2nd up three times in his career and has won all three. Yep, is 2nd up in this after a stunning win when resuming in the 1200m Victory Stakes here at Gr 2 level last start in fast time. Can run on dry or wet and has loads of talent. May spoil the party of these superstars.

Proven Winner
6. Cepheus (7)
Should get out and be on speed for a while but the better ones will swamp him late.
-
Likes Dry Track
7. Osipenko (5)
Has talent but is resuming and most of these will beat him home.
-
Good on Soft
8. Freedom Rally (10)
Finished like a runaway locomotive this trip last start in the Gr 3 BRC Sprint to be beaten a nostril. This is lengths harder but he’s 3rd up and has won 5 from 6 at this track. Place.

9. Bella Nipotina (2)
Gee, this is a tough, classy racemare. Just keeps finding ways to win these big Gr 1 races. Did that last start when nabbing I Wish I Win on the line in the gr 1 Doomben 10,000 over 1200m. Has won at this trip and is in supreme racing shape right now. Big show.

10. In Secret (4)
What a racehorse and her fresh record is outstanding. Resumes here and although she has never won at this journey, she does race like it will suit a great deal. Doesn’t mind it wet either. Hasn’t raced this year, her last start being 3rd at Gr 1 level in the 1200m VRC Stakes behind Imperatriz. Bound to be storming home.

Proven Winner
11. Magic Time (9)
Under-rated star mare with exceptional credentials for this, because she is tough and can run equally as proficiently on wet or dry tracks. Last start was ridden a treat by Micky Dee when ploughing through the Randwick mud to score a Gr 1 win in the All Aged over 1400m. Is in supreme form and must be rated a huge hope again.

12. Espiona (6)
Deserves to win a race like this and the trip is perfect. Bogged down on the slowest part of the track when plodding into 7th in the Gr 1 All Aged then last start when the ground was firmer, unleashed a powerful burst from the back when 3rd to Bella Nipotina and I Wish I Win in the Gr 1. Looks ideally placed.
