Gr 1 – Inglis Sires’

Responsible for an enormous run in the Gr 1 Golden Slipper. Was stone cold last at one stage yet weaved run between runners, getting blocked a couple of times, and flashed home late for 4th. The run had Sires’ written all over it. Plenty of pace on here and should be rattling home.

Super colt. Sat on the fence in 2nd last spot until they turned in the Gr 1 Golden Slipper then charged between horses getting home hard to just fail when 2nd. The run screamed 1400m would suit. Must be strongly fancied here.

Interesting runner. Likes to lead and did so all the way to easily win the Victorian version of this race this trip in fast time. That was just his 2nd start so he should be even better now. Reports from Melbourne say he is the real deal and will test these.

Very imptressive last start stakes winner in Melbourne over 1200m on a soft track. Just bounded away to win by nearly 4 lengths. This is harder but he clearly is very talented. Trip looks to suit also.

Smart colt who is getting better with racing. Sat back last of 11 in the Gr 3 Pago Pago before flashing home for 3rd to Skyhook. That race may be a tier beneath these but does like to run on.

Narrowly won a Newcastle maiden last start. This will be too rich.

Bred to like this trip and after 3 runs does look ready to run a bold race on home track. Last start made ground when 4th to King Of Pop in the Gr 3 Black Opal. Place at very best though.

Hard to imagine a horse being beaten out of a place in a midweek maiden at only start would be a threat here in a Gr 1, but the way this bloke charged at the end of that 1000m maiden was very impressive. Clearly has enormous talent. Probably doesn’t get to show it here but pay to watch down the track.

Beaten out of a place in a provincial maiden last start. Wouldn’t win this with a headstart.

Interesting. I want to tip her but that Victorian Vinrock is a fly in the ointment. If this filly crosses and leads without spending any gas, she will be very, very hard to catch as the tempo of a Sires’ is nowhere near as demanding as a Golden Slipper. But, he also likes to kick up and lead so she may have to work. Conundrum but she will be in the finish.
