1. Beiwacht (10)
Could not have been more impressive running stunning, record time over 1400m last start. And just handled a top class field easily. Drawn wide so probably finds the best part of the track. Racing like a superstar in the making and must be strongly fancied.

2. Mcgaw (12)
Top class l0cal speedster who won against a few of these two runs back. On pace and weakened latter stages when 5th to Tentyris and Raging Force at level weights last start. Did beat Tentyris at this track 2 runs back. Place.

3. Tentyris (5)
Might be a superstar. Never looked a winning hope last start until he was asked to go with 200m left and he simply sprouted wings to score from Raging Force and Sheza Alibi in good time. Is fitter now and looks the one to beat.

Ready to Fire
4. Tycoon Star (9)
Goes well at this track and is in form. Beat McGaw carrying 1.5kg more weight this trip in August. Disappointing 5th to same horse last start again carrying more weight. Since won a trial. Place show.

Good on Soft
5. Skyhook (2)
Good, solid handy type who can perform at this level. However, was well beaten in the Gr 1 Golden Slipper and missed a place behind Beiwacht last start. Looked average in recent trial. Place.

Place Performer
6. Hidden Motive (6)
Will be big odds but has a lot of talent. Led and fought on very gamely to roll Beadman at level weights last start in fast time at Rosehill in the 1200m Gr 2 Roman Consul. Was big odds that day also. This is harder but he is fast and honest. Place.

7. Raging Force (7)
Good, honest 3YO. Knocked over Beiwacht in the Gr 3 San Domenico over 1100m when resuming this prep showing dazzling speed. Looked home until Tentyris ran him down late in the Gothic stakes over 1200m last start. Certain to be in the hunt all the way.

8. Jimmy Recard (11)
Solid colt with 3 wins already to his credit and has proven he can run with these boys. Beat Tycoon Star over 1100m in the Gr 3 Vain Stakes in August. Since been not as effective, last start for instance was 6th to McGaw. Not keen, although is very effective on wet ground.

Good on Soft
9. Legacy Bound (4)
Is smart having won 3 of 4 starts to date including one here in fast time. Never a threat last start though when 4th to McGaw here over 1100m. Got back and only plodded home. Has won this trip but grade may test.

Track Talent
10. Beadman (8)
Grows a leg in the wet. Has had two super runs this time up and was unlucky when 2nd to Hidden Motive last start. Trialled brilliantly at Flemington during the week. Must be considered.

Good on Soft
11. Skyglider (3)
Interesting runner. Put up nice effort to score maiden win in July then put away for 3 months, resuming last start to easily win the Listed Brian Crowley this trip in Oct. Big ask stepping up to this grade but unbeaten in 2 starts and seems to be very strong. Watch market.

Proven Winner
12. My Gladiola (1)
Very consistent filly who can run home hard. And, that style of racing may suit this race. Carried 58.5kg to win here over 1100m when resuming, running last 600m in fast time. Then got up on speed and ran home even faster to just fail behind McGaw last start beating Tentyris home. Respect her.
