1. Zip Lock (3)
All the chat is about the odds on pop and in the musings this bloke has been forgotten. But, he shouldn’t because he can win this. To date, he is unbeaten, can run home hard, has the perfect draw to sit behind the speed then unleash and he is in a stable that is on fore. Will get out and look the winner at some stage. Huge threat.

2. Tornado Valley (5)
Victorian who will strip a whole lot better after chasing home Zip Lock last start. Hits the line well. Got back and seemed lost last start but rallied impressively late for 2nd. Has a stakes win to his credit in Victoria and he can make his presence felt in this. Real tough, grinding type.

Ready to Fire
3. Itchintogo (11)
Smashed a weak field leading all the way last start. Knows how to win but may not get to the front early from this gate. Still, he’s on the quick back-up, is very fit and can run home hard. Will be thereabouts.

4. Warwoven (6)
Being talked about as the Luskin Star of his era. And the money has flown in for him. Has raced twice, has won twice and done so with powerful late strides in a dominant fashion. Drawn well enough, is strong and ready to go bang.

5. Unit Five (9)
One start one city win. Looks smart. Has won both his jump outs and his only barrier trial as well so he knows what winning is like. Up from Victoria and this is his first race in Qld so that’s a concern, but he does feel talented.

6. Knightsbridge (8)
One of 4 Gai and Adrian are saddling in this and he does seem smart. Accelerated when he heeded to last start when resuming to win in town. Up in class here but is progressive and Jay Mac has the ride. Place show.

7. Shiki (10)
Smart and looks very hard to beat. Some will question her ability to run the trip but I suggest if Tim Clark rides her off the pace and she finds cover, she will sprint very hard late. Looked smart running a time that was 4 lengths faster than Itchintogo last week. Respect her.

8. Lumbini (16)
Not helped by this horror draw but probably drops back looking for cover anyway. Won here on debut comfortably then ran home gamely when easily beaten into 2nd spot by the boom horse Warwoven last start. Not keen.

9. By Choice (4)
Nicely drawn but this is hard. Led all the way to win on debut at randwick in handy time but was always well back last start when beaten 3 lengths last week by Shiki. Not keen.

10. Masvingo (12)
Maiden after 3 runs but is better than most maidens. Gives the impression she will love this trip. Gets back generally, although last start at Randwick she was driven forward from the gate and weakened in the final 75m. Should get back and will be making ground late.

11. Mystical (13)
Very handy although still a maiden after 2 starts. Saying that, she gets back and charges home and will love this trip. Probably going to get too far back in this though.

12. Magritte (17)
Maiden after 4 starts and while she has placed in good grade in Qld, this draw and this race will test her.

Good on Soft
13. Tigroni (7)
Handy filly, still a maiden, but has placed in all 3 starts to date. probably wont here though as it is much stronger and was soundly beaten by Shiki last week.

14. Leaves Of Lorien (14)
Handy filly who is a maiden still after 5 starts but has placed behind both Zip Lock and Warwoven at past 2 runs. Big surprise to see her win this but she has some ability.

Good on Soft
15. Inhabit (15)
Looks well below standard needed here. Thrashed by Shiki last week.

16. Double Cool (2)
Nicely drawn and getting better with racing. At just 2nd start, last week, ran home well when beaten into 2nd by Shiki. Very rough place show because she is improving.
