Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s meetings and singles out his top three horse racing tips from Naracoorte & Doomben. Good luck, punters!

Since this mare VON SAGA has been transferred from Victoria to the stables of Travis Doudle at Morphettville, she has grown a leg. In Victoria, she couldn’t win a race. But she was being tried over middle trips up to a mile. Doudle prepared her for sprints and she won her maiden at her SA debut over 1100m. She stayed at that trip and led all the way to win by 5 lengths in a Cl 1, then he stepped her up to 1350m and she was soundly beaten. Gets a 3kg claim here and back to 1000m. Should be on speed all the way and prove too tough late.

This well-bred former Chris Waller-trained 3YO filly TRACY MAY (Redoute’s Choice-Madam Tracy), may not be a superstar but she does have wheels and at this level she looks very well placed. She has raced twice this time up for new trainer Tony Gollan and she was successful both times, once here at maiden level. Has been very heavily backed overnight as well. Drawn to be prominent, probably leads actually, and without being used up. Looks worth following.

This could be interesting. REBEL SALUTE finished hard to beat a strong maiden field last start at Ipswich after being beaten a nose here which put the writing on the wall, and he has been backed overnight. But LUVYOUANYTIME, who is lightly raced, stepped out in a Toowoomba maiden last start. He was sent to the lead and just kept going. Some horses are like that. They just need to find their racing pattern and this guy won by 10 lengths. Same trip here. Probably leads and tries for the same result.  Quinella them.
