Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s race meetings and singles out his top three horse racing tips from Gosford on  Geelong. Good luck, punters!

Much cooler day in Sydney today. I’m on the strangely named YGGDRASIL here. Because she looks the best horse based on her last start 2nd in this grade when trying to lead all the way. SARANDOS may make her work for it on the lead this time, but last start was over the mile also so she is fit. Now, to her name. Yggdrasil is an immense ash tree that is center to the cosmos and considered very holy. The word is pronounced Ig drah sell.

Good competitive race. The unraced Kris Lees trained LOCH LOMOND appeals the most to me in this. He sat back in 4th during a genuinely run trial where the winner broke 59.5sec over 1000m, yet he made good ground late. He carried more weight and the winner might actually be a star…a 2YO filly named Satin Ribbons. Anyway, I liked the way this boy got out and chased. Lees has placed this bloke well waiting for a restricted race like this that looks tailor made. Expect him to run home hard.

I think this ZAZSTER has talent and as such I’m on him here. He’s only had four runs, all this grade, but he has steadily improved each one. This is probably the hardest of them all thus far, but with Froggy Newitt on top and drawn the rails, I see him 3rd all the way with cover then out kicking them late. ALBANIAN EAGLE has been backed so have in the quinella but she has drawn deep and may not get in.
