You know what they say and we’ve said it here countless times, mares in form are the ones to back. Well, BOSSY BRITCHES is that mare in this race. And she looks ideally placed. She is relishing her racing of late and last start Storme home to win a very similar race over 2000m in dashing style. Appears well placed again and she just looks a safe bet. CHALLICUM is racing well enough too. Quinella them.
Tip: BOSSY BRITCHES
When he debuted last start SALUTE THE CANNONS wasn’t expected to do anything. He blew from $16 to start $26. He drew out wide that day and he surprised with the way he hit the line grabbing 3rd in a very similar race. Today, he comes out of gate 7. He gets a 2kg claim from Jacob Opperman who rides well and he looks deliciously well placed. I’m certain there will be a lot more money around for him this time.

This is not a very tough field and so I think young WILD WILLY can land the chocolates. His only win (from just two starts mind you) came at this course last year in October when on debut he sat off the speed and charged late. He was sensationally backed to win on debut and he did. A long spell ensued and he returned three weeks ago in a Bm 58 where again he sat back near the tail over 1000m and came charging home to run 5th. Unlike his debut run, he was unwanted in the market. Extra trip here, extra fitness on his side, extra effort sure to follow. I’m on.
