Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s race meetings and singles out his top three horse racing tips from Tamworth and Bathurst this afternoon.

When this bloke CARISSIMO had his very first start it was at Canberra in a 1200m maiden on a very heavy track. It proved to be a really strong, deep maiden and he ran on well for 5th. That was a year ago. He has since changed hands and now is trained by Peter Robl at Randwick. Last start, for his new trainer, at Goulburn, this time on a slow track over 1300m, he sat back and ran home well to grab 3rd. He is maturing and he is 3rd up in this. Should appreciate the trip and the grade and looms large.

This will be a good contest for EL’ PERRI. She will be ridden by the young boom apprentice Reece Jones and he can get off the mark early in the day here. The filly has raced twice to date and both have been strong runs, debut effort was a 3rd this grade at Wellington over 900m and then last start seemed to get a little too far back when getting home for 5th. That experience and the long straight here will both work in her favour. Perhaps put SPIRIT OF PLUTO in for 2nd.

I do think this is a pretty tough assignment for a 3YO filly, but LOVETHEINVASION may be a city grade horse. If not at this very moment then certainly in the future. She can stay and from her 5 starts to date she has shown she likes to get to the front and dictate. Slower tempo here enables her to do that and she might just skip clear as they come to the bend. The older mare FRENCH RESPONSE is as tough as granite and she will make a charge late. I will Quinella them.
