Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s meetings and singles out his top three horse racing tips from Kembla & Narromine. Good luck, punters!
I have tipped this emerging Canberra-trained sprinter SCALDED twice in her life and both times she has won easily. She is going for three on the bounce here as am I with her. Carries more weight than ever before and is in a stronger grade, but she has a turn of foot that is actually open grade. Speaking of that, she raced away winning as she pleased last start and Supplyzing who was a couple of lengths behind her that day, came out and won the Open grade Griffith Cup at his next start. That will do me. Scalded opened at $3.90 on Wednesday and by 1am this morning was $2.70. Get on.
Last year, when Team Hawkes produced a handsome son of I Am Invincible, to the track, he ran 2nd in the Gr 3 Pago Pago at Rosehill. He looked to have the world at his feet. He was sent to Melbourne, and well five runs later he has become an easy beat. But I have a theory. He doesn’t like the Victorian way of going. Other than his great run in the Pago Pago, he trialled brilliantly in Sydney and all his subsequent poor runs have been in Victoria. Ran 8th at Bendigo last start beaten nearly 8 lengths. But I think he, whose name is BORN A WARRIOR, turns it all around going in this direction.
Tip: BORN A WARRIOR
This is a good betting race. Like the connections of Scalded (racing in race 4 today) did last week, MY ZEBRINKA was scratched from that incredibly strong $50,000 Cl 2 race at Dubbo in preference for this easier kill. And being 3rd up, with Greg Ryan aboard, it appeals to me as a much better option. If he gets cover, he can win this.
