Our top form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s race meetings and singles out his top three horse racing tips from Goulburn this afternoon.
This is a race worth watching. FORMEINAWAY looks a progressive type and all Mark Newnham horses get out and go. But I think the 2YO filly PRINCESS SPICE may have his measure. She gets a pull in the eights and is pretty darn quick herself having led all the way to win 1000m mdn last start. She is now 2nd up from a spell and being a dual nominated horse for this makes it nearly as good as a dual acceptor. If she can cross and lead she can win. Quinella them though.
Tip: PRINCESS SPICE
You just have to love the look of a genuine mudlark in a suitable race on a heavy track day. We get that with last start 3rd placegetter SCALDED. She boasts outstanding heavy track form and not only will be the sting be out of the ground but the cut too. None of which worries her. I see her from this wide gate dropping into about 5th early then her love of the conditions and residual fitness will kick in. This could be a gap job.
So much to like about the overall class edge the top weight RATHVILLY MISS has on these. She gets back and runs on for her Warwick Farm trainer Greg Hickman, and does it very well in midweek city grade. Resumes here and has a big weight but is down in class. And her wet track stats are pretty handy. SHADOW CHASER is a last start winner so is in form. Quinella them up.
