Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s meetings and singles out his top three horse racing tips from Lismore &  Nowra. Good luck, punters!

A big field will mean we probably will get odds against for SOLAR FLASH in this. Which really appeals. On debut, this Mark Newnham-trained filly jumped away well and was ridden toward the lead, sat behind the speed and boxed on gamely to finish 3rd. That was a provincial maiden. This is a drop in class and with that experience under her belt, she just looks about the best-placed runner in the land today. MONTE DI ROSE is ready to run the quinella, but Solar Flash looks a good thing.

I really like the look of this inform galloper BOSENDI despite the fact he’s drawn off the track. That is a worry but he has the fitness and I believe enough speed to slide across and find a forward spot with cover. He finally broke through to win his maiden last start after arcing near the lead and drops 2kg for this. And I assessed it as a strong maiden field.

Fairly open and quite interesting race. Bad draw for the lightly-raced LAST EIGHTYATE suggests that filly may have to take a sit in behind them, probably back with the other mare BOOM And ZOOM. And the latter is my tip. I like that she is crying out for this journey. At her past two runs, in similar grade in the bush but in shorter races, she hasn’t kept up with the speed early but has rattled home. Off this good draw she can sit a pair closer than normal with a less hectic tempo, and because she is genuine and a finisher, I see her sprouting wings late. Big show.
